Who we are

JD Media is a sole-proprietor LLC based in Fallbrook, California, operated by Juan Fernandez. We provide growth and retention consulting services to local businesses. You can reach us at juan@jdmedia.biz.

What we collect and why

When you submit the audit request form on our website, we collect the following personal information:

• Name — to address you correctly in our response
• Email address — to send you the audit walkthrough you requested
• Business name and city — to research your market before responding
• Your description of where you think you're losing money — to make the response specific and useful

We collect this information solely to respond to your audit request. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond that direct response and any follow-up you initiate.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA (Social Security numbers, financial account details, health data, etc.).

How we store your information

Form submissions are processed through Formspree and delivered to our private email inbox. We do not maintain a separate marketing database. We retain your information only as long as it is relevant to an active or potential consulting engagement, and we delete it upon request.

We do not sell or share your personal information

JD Media does not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own commercial purposes. This includes:

• No sale of data to data brokers or advertising networks
• No sharing with affiliates for cross-marketing
• No disclosure to business partners without your explicit consent

The only third party that handles your data in transit is Formspree, which acts as a processor on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics scripts that identify individual visitors. We do not currently use any web analytics platform.

Your rights as a California resident

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the following rights regarding their personal information:

• Right to know — You may request a description of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to deletion — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing — We do not sell or share personal information, so this right is satisfied by our policy. No opt-out mechanism is required.
• Right to non-discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

How to exercise your rights

To submit a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information, email us at juan@jdmedia.biz with the subject line "Privacy Request." Please include enough detail to identify the information in question (e.g., the name and email you used when submitting the form).

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, as required by law. If we need more time, we will notify you of the extension.

We do not charge a fee for these requests unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Children's privacy

Our services are directed to adults operating local businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted here.
